When The Helper Needs Help...

Our Mission:

Our mission is to provide caring, competent and effective rehabilitation services to physicians and other health care professionals who have been affected by substance use disorders or other mental health issues.  We understand the pressures placed on health care professionals in California.  They are constantly under pressure to perform efficiently while making decisions that will affect the health and well-being of their patients.  There is no room for error.  However, they are also human and can themselves be affected by stress, addictions, mental illness, and other behavioral issues.  Those issues can directly or indirectly impact the patients they care for.  The questions isn't whether some doctors are affected by this issues, the question is what do we do about it when the potential impairment is discovered?  Pacific Assistance Group is the only comprehensive state-wide program available in California to assist the physicians, employers, hospitals and families impacted by these very real concerns.
